theleet is right, 750 is NOT fine. Definately retake ASAP.

rofl, thats why i suck at writing...

i would retake 750, but thats just me.

in regards to the world hist. sat II

"do not take it unless you're a history nerd"

haha clearly i am a history nerd, i got a 800.

For me, comparitively:

Writing - 10 (that essay was killer, though I got a 10)
Math IIC - 7 (it was tough, but the score came out great)
Bio-M - 8 (pretty much definitions and understanding of terms)

Chem - 5 (i barely got over 700 but i was.. uh..lets just say, under the weather, and it was the june one, a month after my AP (5 - easy) and i hadnt looked at it)
Math IIC - 8 (it would have been easy, but time is a factor for me.. i still did decent, just not for this board)
Writing - 4 (not bad at all.)

dude PHYSICS is the easiset exam i live in trinidad and the physic on that exam is equivalent to 3rd yr junior high physics..i know 13 yr olds who can ace it th chem is the hardest writing exam is eaxy but the curve will kill ya and math 1 is a killer
wit da devil curve

Wow...they really asked what decade the honeymooners aired? do we even...learn that..in class? haha..so basically they want us to know useless facts..got it

"Wow...they really asked what decade the honeymooners aired? do we even...learn that..in class? haha..so basically they want us to know useless facts..got it"

yes that was a question. (which I got wrong btw). While they ask a decent number of useless facts that are hard they compensate by having enough easy/relevant questions to get a 700+ with the curve. Also they will throw in some recent stuff as well. (they asked me what Nader stood for on policy)

for me, (I'm serious, just my honest opinion)

Chem : 1 (I learnt all that 4 years back)
Phy : 5 (easy but nice tricky questions)
Math IIC : 1 (learnt it 2-3 years back, strightforward test with a nice curve)
Writing : 7 (I'm intl :))

even though I haven't taken them, math is my weak point, so I expect that to be my hardest

Hmm..so basically for a 750+ I should study what we learn in class...plus current government stuff? Wow..kinda seems like alot doesn't it?

Acacia - The SAT II US History really isn't as bad as everyone is making it sound. Study from Sparknotes and you'll be perfectly fine.

Yeah I got a 4 on the Ap World Exam and the highest grade in my class all four quarters and managed a sparkling 600. Woot.

I still don't think 750's a bad score. Sorry, but it's not. And I honestly think that if they see you retaking a 750 SAT II, they'll wonder why you couldn't do something better with your Saturday (like volunteer at a homeless shelter).

Ahem, anyway.

Writing-Pulled an 800, 12 on the essay. Breezy.
U.S. History-Very tricky; if I wasn't a history freak, I'd've been screwed.
Math IC-Math isn't that hard, but the curve's cruel. I got a 690 and then a 780.

I took the AP European History course and almost wished I'd substituted World History for my Math, except that I'd have two social sciences tests. I have heard, though, that SAT II WH more closely resembles AP Euro than AP World. Do they offer a Government SAT II? I don't even remember. I've taken some World History practice tests at school and pulled 750+ on them. I guess it's just what you're good at. I've always been good at writing, language and social studies, so I do well on those tests. I'm good at math, but not that good. I made A's in my AP and honors science courses, but science just doesn't interest me. So how we view these tests is relative to our interests.

No one ever said that 750 was a bad score.

No, they don't offer an SAT II Government.

my 2 cents:
On a scale of 1-10 (easy - hard)
Chem 8 got a 730 after getting a 4, but still pretty tough
US Histo 6 its really not that hard if u paid attention in class!
MathIIc 8 if u didnt take calc, 4 otherwise
Writing 5... nothin really special there. if u read and know grammar ur fine

i took the world history sat last summer...im a junior now...i expected something easier and i found it really thought...maybe it was bc i wasnt in wh ap...i was in honors and my teacher sucked but i got in an argument with him and got a B so i just wanted to prove i knew the material...i got a 680 by the way...good enought for me...
pd...some ap takers found it way harder than the multiple choice section of the ap exam...

I live in Houston, TX, but currently attend Tufts University in Boston, MA.

I never took Biology, but everyone I know who took it said it was really easy.
US History-easy, but World History is even easier, plus WH has a nice curve
Chem-never took it; don't know anyone who did
Math-Math I is very easy but has no curve. Colleges have a lot more respect for IIC, which has a pretty generous curve.
Don't take Lit. It's very hard (maybe it's just me-I hate passage analysis)

on my scale
Math 2C(1) - really generous curve
Physics(2) - generous curve, although i got 790
writing(7) - i'm not a native speaker
chemistry(6) - never have taken it, but heard it's kind of hard

lindsey, i said 750 was a bad score...
