Competitive Scholarships

Has anyone heard back from a Case scholarship they applied for? Like the FIRST scholarship or the Innovation Scholarship?

Thank you

I haven’t, but I called Case and they said scholarships should be announced by 3/20.

I heard about the A.W. Smith Innovation Scholarship on 3-16. They may not release them all at the same time. Dyllieman said they should be announced by 3-20, so I guess just wait until then and hope to get a response. I wish you luck!

@Sizzleracn Congratulations! When is your interview?

Thanks! It’s either March 24th or March 25th. Do you know what the interview consists of?? I don’t know if they’ll be asking about my project or if they’ll be asking about me as a person, etc. xD I wish you both luck and hope you hear from Case soon! @Dyllieman @pjreil

@Sizzleracn how did they notify you that you were invited to interview? I’ve been trying to figure that out haha! Btw congratulations!

They sent an email saying that there was an update on the portal. Then where all the updates are, it said I was a finalist and that I would have to interview during one of the overnight accepted student things. I wish you luck, and I hope you get a response soon! @tydunham

Thank you so much!! Good luck to you!

If we have not heard about a Leadership Scholarship is it safe to assume we did not get it?

All the nominees have been contacted already as per Admissions.

I know this post is from last year, but I was just wondering what your interview was like last year? Any advice? I’m heading out there next week for my interview

@Rugrat26 Report back after so next year’s students will know

What was your project on

I used the project that I competed with at ISEF last year with. Basically I engineered and tested smaller biogas generators that could be used in the urban setting rather than larger industrial/agricultural settings.

In March I interviewed as a finalist for the Alexander Treuhaft scholarship. Today, I was just notified that I was awarded the scholarship. For those who want to know, my interview was mostly about my essay I wrote for the scholarship. I was able to guide the conversation about the research I did during high school for the most part. They also asked about my plans @Case and later down the line (one of the q’s was “Where do you see yourself in 10 years”).
