competitive??

<p>I know that ND is one of the top schools but does anybody know the stats? How competitive is ND really? What is about the average GPA (on a 100 point scale) and average SATs? </p>

<p>These are the stats that were given from my school and naviance. Are the stats bogus??
High Low Avg.
SAT I Verbal: 720 620 660
SAT I Math: 730 640 681 </p>

<p>Also does ND look at the writing section of the SAT and they don't require SAT IIs, right? And is it relatively easier for a minority to get accepted. That's what I heard from all the college counselors.</p>

<p>ND has very competitive admissions. However, as with a lot of top schools, minorities do get a boost.</p>

<p>From experience and hearsay, not many minorities especially Asians get an advantage in the application process. But I have heard minorities get a big boost at ND from the "lack of diverstiy." Not many people from my school has applied to Notre Dame to get a sense of how competitive the school really is but don't get me wrong ND is a REALLY GREAT SCHOOL!</p>

<p>^^ Depends on the college. Still, maybe not in Cali, but other places Asians are still considered URMs</p>

<p>Well yes it is true that there are less Asians at Notre Dame than at peer schools, but I dont think it is easier for an Asian to get in here than a white person.</p>
