compilation of Calc AB answers.

I got a linear equation too...and I knew it didn't make sense with the slope field, so I was like ***?

yeahhhhh go madeinusa817!!!!! same! theres hope!

Wait, wait....wasn't the question for the Rockets which one is traveling faster? So isn't that a velocity question, not acceleration?

what did you get for the equation though? and how about the one with cars turning to the left?

I dont remember the exact eq I got. But for the cars:

a) straight forward
b) What the...Had to use solver for this one. Not sure I got it right. Thoughts?
C) Uhm...I got yes, by far.

Also, to make this more...uhm inspection friendly, or just plain educational, how does one write a reimann sum? My teacher must have gone over that five times but I still could not remember. Oops.

Hey Chicos!
NO DISCUSSING THE ACTUAL ANSWERS TO THE EXAM!!!

People in other time zones could easily come on here before taking the exam and ace it because y'all are giving them the answers!

So watch what you say.... Edit your posts if need be.

Just a thought. But congratulations on getting through it alive!

bump....discuss, but no answer till tonight.

god people, the test is over, what's the point in discussing the answers now? No time to worry about calc now, worry about your other AP exams! (esp Chem =/)

Chem is okay for me, but AP Eng lit......... sigh!

who the hell cares about what the ap rules are? the people at collegeboard are all scumbags, so answer away!

damn, doesnt asking which is faster imply speed requiring both acceleration and velocity to be taken into account?

Also, can one get a negative volume? I believe I may have made a sign error...

haha, no. no negative volumes.

****, I may have missed all three as I think when I fnit'ed I didnt change the -- to a +.........

I remember having to use the washer method at one point. Thank God for prep books.

yes, and I had all three set up correctly except for the sign error in the calculator.. at least Ill get the setup points.

Wait...I remember getting a negative volume too, so I just added the absolute value sign to the fnInt on my calc, and all was solved. In retrospect, I don't know if that is correct. Also in retrospect, I didn't do as well as I thought I had. Damn.

For my own knowledge: How does rotating around a certain horizontal line versus another affect the value of the volume? Seriously, this is bothering me.

yeah all of these answers sound familiar (won't discuss until fri :))....i didn't use shell b/c i've read for some that they don't give pts in some cases unless its washer method for vol...rocket one wasn't too bad, nor was the car one. the line seg. grid one i think i might have got a 7 or something b/c i forgot one or two tiny things....diff eq. i got ln's and then a linear eq (6-7 maybe)...the other one i did okay on, probably a 5.

yes i got some negative one too and i also did the absolute value one...i think it was like 12.2 or something

watch your sign errors, I made the same mistake ^^ sucks to be us.

for the car problem on avg rate during the time over 150, can one just find the max and use that point and one of the zeros over the time change to find avg rate? Thats how I did it at least.
