I found the two points where it croses 150, going up and down, and then I averaged the two values. This, however, seems very wrong now

I found the two points and then integrated the area and the found the average value.

On another note, with rounding numbers....how many decimal places should you leave to?There was one question lnx and x-2....right?

3 decimal places.

Drinkingmilk, I think that's exactly what one had to do for that question (Avg value one). Nice job! Too bad for me.

I reall doubted it though. what was your answer...PM me if you have to.

do you lose points if you don't round to three decimals. I never knew that, I always do two. Lame

it clearly indicates "round to 3 decimals places only" on the front page of the booklet, but I am not sure if they will deduct you points for that.

Mariokindy...I think you might lose a few points for not rounding it to three decimal places. It clearly stated on the instructions to round it to three places.

does anyone remember the actual function L(t) for the cars. I know it was something like sqrt(60)tsin(t^2/3).. If anyone knows exactly i would appreciate it.

Hey everyone!

Wow, I found the test a lot easier than much of the practice that I had done. I'm sure I got AT LEAST a 4, and a 5 is definitely possible.

You know what sucks though? There was construction going on, on my school's roof, so all we heard throughout the entire exam was the incessant drilling of some power tool. It was awful! The proctors kept trying to get a message over to the construction workers, but they didn't get it. Finally, my school principal went to them himself, and the stupid noise stopped about midway through the FRQs!

Should I report this as a testing irregularity? While I feel I did fine on the test, I know I could have done SO MUCH better if I had been able to concentrate more. Right now, rather than thinking a 5 is POSSIBLE, I'm pretty sure I'd feel it was definite (had there been no drilling noise). Haha, 4 hours of drilling and calculus are the perfect combo for a KILLER headache! I'm not the only one who complained either. A lot of my classmates and the Calc BC kids thought it was ridiculous! Haha, ok at some points we all just cracked up b/c - well c'mon, there was some sort of jackhammer or drill being used through the entire test!! OH, and by the last FRQ, I was hammering at my pink booklet w/ my pencil like a jackhammer - in an attempt to finish it all.

So what do you think? Is it worth reporting? Will they make the AB and BC students @ my school take it again?? I personally don't want to go through the ENTIRE test again b/c all I need is a 4 for Calc credit at Princeton. Idk..... I would appreciate any insight! I hope you all did well :)

-Jon ;)

I got a negative volume too, so I wrote down a positive answer, threw absolute value bars around my integral, and prayed they'd give me some credit.

I got rocket B was faster by 1 ft/sec or whatever. (50 to 49)

what'd you get for the last problem? I can't even remember what the question was, but i'm thinking one of my answers was a^2 + 3.

also, on the traffic one- yes on the light, right? how did you guys justify it?

If you can believe it, I had it worse. There was a "fire" in the building during mine.
we are on LI too, pm me if you can guess what school. LOL!

vegangirl: I got no for the light, it doesnt get anywhere near that number (did you use 250 or 500? ;)

I'm pretty sure the car equation was:

60sqrt(t)sin^2(t/3)

or something very similar...

I think vegangirl is right.

which volume problem are you guys talking about? I don't seem to recall...can use the help. I also had that you need a light in the intersection.

I think everyone's talking about part c of the first FRQ (w/ the shaded region).

Does anyone think I should bother e-mailing or contacting the College Board about that drilling during the exam? I might risk them making us all (from my school) retake it. While other students did complain, I doubt many of them would want to RETAKE the entire thing. Does anyone know how the whole, testing irregularities thing works? Again, any insight or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

patience would give you the right answer for that car question!

irregularities need to be reported to the collegeboard. if they arent...

Yeah... I guess if they're not, well nothing will be done.

But what if they are?? Does anyone know what possible actions the College Board may take to resolve my school's situation? This uncertainty is what's keeping me from contacting them.
