Would you mind posting links to where you found these, if they are found on websites?

I'll do requests, too! ;>)

(That's it for the time being.)

EDIT: Unless otherwise noted, the above materials (posted by me) are based on school web sites, the on-line school calendars, and/or calls made directly to Admission Offices.

Try to go to as many revisit days as you can, especially those of you who were unable to visit the school. Many people change their priorities during revisit.

Revisit days are critically important. We changed our choice based on revisit day. School #1 came across as cold and self important. The student assigned to my D. was a senior who dropped her off in a physics class then disappeared! The headmaster loooked over my shoulder as we met, looking to see if a bigger donor was behind me! The prospective parents we sat with were equally unfriendly. Although the school has a wonderful reputation, the whole day just gave us a bad vibe. School #2 was warm and friendly from the minute we set foot in the door. The admissions staff greeted my D. by name, and told her how excited they were that she might be going there. They had her student hostess handpicked for sharing many of the same interests. She was excited and energized by the classes they went to. The faculty panel was funny and approachable. The parents we met were also warm and very diverse. We all felt instantly at home there. We wrote the check that night.

Thanks for the input, sabooks. Has anyone ever had a dramatically different impression of a school on revisit day from an earlier impression during tours/interviews? How much opportunity do you have to get to know the other prospective new students--do you get to mingle, or are you just herded from one class or location to another?
