Complain CB about delaying Your SAT scores?

CollegeBoard (CB) usually intentionally delays sending SAT scores for 1-3 weeks, so CB force you to use their expensive rush score. However, ACT sends scores immediately follwoing your request. Don't know why sending score electronically needs rush order? for what? for money only? That's unacceptable!!!!

You can send your complaints about this to the following link:

Send a Message to The College Board

Hope we can force CB to make some change on this!!

Where did you get the idea that you have to do rush reporting? Generally, you only do that if you’re already past the last test date a college says it will accept.

Many applicants for early actions request their SAT being sent on Nov. 10-25, CB is still pending their scores ( for several weeks!). The decision is middle of Dec. Their Nov. scores cannot be reached to the colleges on time!!! This is unacceptable!!!

I advised my D to call the three universities that she is applying and explain to them the CB situation. These schools told her not to rush the scores since she has already self-reported her scores on the common app. If the lastest scores has just come out (like the Nov SAT), then just send the admissions an email to self-report the SAT scores. The official scores should arrive later to complete the application process and it won’t affect the decision (at least that was told by these universities that my D is applying). IMO, you may waste your money on rushing to send your scores. I am assumming that you have sent your SAT scores and now the status is “PENDING”. If this is the case, then just call the school and see what they have to say and work from there.
