and there still pending... isn't sending electronically quick? Will they be sent soon officially or what?

They could be sent at anytime. Sometimes they wait to send them in bunches. They will get to your school in time. Go ahead and self-report and let them know that you already ordered them from College Board.

Sending electronically is quick; processing your order and getting the score actually sent is not necessarily quick. If your issue is a Nov 1 early decision or early action deadline, be aware that for most colleges you are fine putting in your order before Nov 1 and scores can arrive thereafter; in fact, many of those ED and EA schools take Nov SAT scores for EA or ED.

Hossain, my son ordered SAT scores on Oct. 13 and they still show “Pending”. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks. I called College Board and they said they would be sent 2 weeks from the date ordered. I pointed out that it has been over 2 weeks and the woman said “It’s BARELY over 2 weeks”. Then she said it’s possible that they have been sent but the College Board website incorrectly says “Pending”. When I explained that none of the colleges have received the scores, she said I should call the colleges again and confirm. Absolutely no help at all from College Board, no promise that scores will be sent, no offer to look into the issue. I explained that the ACT scores ordered on the same day were all sent within 3 days, and College Board said “We are not affiliated with ACT in any way”. No, they are not. They are in competition, and I think ACT just won. Anyone else having big delays? BTW, all of the colleges were ones that accept scores electronically, so there is NO reason for this delay.

same problem. CB said that they are having issues getting scores out so call your college admissions and find out if they know about the problem.

I sent something on October 23, and they sent on the 28th. It took the colleges a few days more to get them. The college/collegeboard says that they only send the scores (in one bunch) once a week.

Beware sometimes they are sent electronically and sometimes by snail mail. Depends on the school. Happened to my D last year!

College Board still hasn’t sent any of the scores my son ordered on October 13, and they were all going to colleges that get the scores electronically. No reply to my emails, and no return calls, even though I was promised they would look into it and call me. Fortunately, he also sent ACT scores and they were sent and received within 3 days. His SAT was a bit better, so he wanted to have that in the file for scholarships. We are hoping that both ACT and SAT will be looked at, IF the SATs are ever sent by College Board.

Barfly - the scores I requested for my daughter in mid-October were just sent this morning. I really don’t understand the delay? They obviously know that many kids are applying EA, ED and for scholarships at this time of year…if there is not some sort of technical problem of which we are not aware - then it’s just incredibly poor customer service.
