Hi guys,
so I'm currently studying abroad but have plans to transfer. I know, I've made hasty decisions. But my reason to transfer is both because of money and to transfer to a school w/ a better program for my major.

The problem is, my apps are all on commonapp and require stuff like College Official's Report. I am not on campus and have no way of getting it to staff since I'm abroad. My earliest app is due 1/1/2012 and I do not get back to campus until the 17th.

Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone run into this problem before?
On top of that, would one suggest I transfer back to my local uni (rolling admissions) for a year, to save money, and then transfer in as a junior (to a school that has a better program) since it seems like I won't be getting my commonapp finished in time?

You can email the appropriate office at the main campus to arrange for your paperwork. This isn’t something that absolutely requires face-to-face contact.

If money is a big issue, why don’t you just take a leave of absence at the end of this semester? That way you could have more time to devote to your transfer apps. Some might not be due until April or even later.

But if they must send it in to the school, they would expect me to pay for postage. I’m not sure how that would exactly work.

Has anyone done this before?

PS, money is an issue but I’ve already taken out the necessary loans for the whole 2011-2012 year, so might as well finish.

Is this just Stafford loans, or do you have private loans too?

I have private loans too. Not sure what this matters, I’d be applying for Fall 2012 so I’d have to finish this year up anyhow.
