my brain is tired of researching colleges on my own, so if anyone wants to help (i know you have before, but i've updated my thoughts a bit) i would appreciate it.

i hope to double major in music composition and music education and possibly minor in spanish.
i should look at colleges in the midwest and other nearby states (ie, colorado, tennessee, kentucky).
i want to get the best education i can.
i don't like the idea of studying only classical composition, i want to be able to branch off into my own style. (you know?)
at this moment, i'm not planning on going onto graduate school.
i'm hoping that composition will give me a better structure than i currently have in songwriting to i can go on to either compose, score movies, or go on a tour (i know, a performance major would probably help in this, but aren't performance classes part of any music major?)
i want to be able to teach in case all else falls through. and i do enjoy teaching. i currently have seven piano students.

i'm anxious to hear what everyone thinks.
thank you very much.
