Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos, Princeton '86, who's also its CEO.

As for Google, I think the post was referring to Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Princeton '76, who has done a pretty good job of taking Google through its IPO process and has been the strategic mind behind its business model.

Nobody can beat Dr. Seuss and Mr. Rogers.

Silly Puddy is correct, fall2007 just got the titles wrong, and hence the wrong people.

Princeton has a quite a few not mentioned yet:

Eric Lander, Princeton '78, is a brilliant geneticist/mathematician, and a major player in the Human Genome Institute through the Broad Institute at MIT.

Also, don't forget James Stewart '32 and Bill Bradley '65!

Bill Nye went to Cornell...

end of story.

The Ivy League has some cool grads, but no one, anywhere, tops the U.S. Naval Academy. There is no explaination needed in () for these people but I guess I'll just put in their credentials to emphasize:

Another Princeton grad tightly intertwined with the Human Genome goings on - Bill Waterston, who now teaches at WUSTL. He also was the moderator for one of th 2000 presidential debates.

MODERATOR'S NOTE TO "which Ivy has most famous but "cool" alumni" THREAD:

I'll merge this thread into the latest comprehensive Ivy League discussion thread for one-stop shopping.

tokenadult-
You are screwing things up. Stop merging threads. It is a stupid idea.
