Computer Engineering

What kind of work would I do as a Computer Engineer? Would I be cubin' it up, or would i be working somewhere else?

Basically, you'd learn how to build electronics, electronic circuits and how to program them...

Electronics companies, Automobile companies, etc are some of the major people hiring comp engineers

For straight computer engineering jobs, probably digital design, vlsi (integrated circuit) layout, device driver programming, CPU design, etc.

Lots of people go on to work at Intel, AMD, NVidia, ATi, IBM, Samsung, etc., and the field is expanding. Basically, wherever chips come from, expect some computer engineers to be working there.

Typically CE students take some electrical engineering and some computer science, so you probably could either do circuits or programming in a job without much trouble.

I agree lots of design, testing, programming, and integration. Some theoretical research, probably more focussed on this if you have Master's or Ph.D.
