Computer people on CC...help please =(

This is for a student I tutor...

Okay, so he changed his password for his Windows Login Username, and forgot it completely...He says that he shut down the admin account and the account he currently uses is the only one accessible on the login screen.

I know there are numerous tools to recover the administration password, but he can't even access the desktop, and cannot get past the login screen.

This utility seems like a solution...found here:

<a href="http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=305%5B/url%5D">http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=305</a></p>

I have no idea if this is for an administration password only or for every password. It seems like you can access User Accounts and "change and remove or change your password as you prefer". Does the process on the website seem safe? It is abusing a security hole, but I really don't want him to go through reinstallation over a forgotten password.

Please help! I really care for this student, and I would hate to see him break down because of this.

Reset the computer in safe mode, log in to the administrator account, go to user options, find his alias, and reset his password.
