Computer Science 31

I don't know, but I think that the projects are pretty hard. From what I can predict, it's hard to get 100s on the projects unless you have had experience in programming ..

But my question is for first time programmers in CS31 ..

Does Smallberg fail easily? I Bruinwalked Smallberg, and some reponses said that they got about 50/100 on midterms and finals, and still ended up with a C. But they never said anything about scores on projects.

Would this hold true .. for people struggling with C++ .. who get about 50/100 on tests and get about 60% (but finish most projects) .. that they would get at least a C?

I mean they tried .. is that how his grading scale works ?

CS 31 is nothing. You need >85% on every assignment and >70% on the midterm/final if you aspire for a B. No, Prof. Smallberg doesn't fail easily; he's firm but fair. However, like with every CS 31/32/33 professor, the effort-gap between a B versus a C is as vast as the effort-gap between passing and failing in any other class. To every student who provides the basic implementation of the program specifications, and isn't a perfectionist, prepare to be weeded out.
