I’m applying to UT Austin as a transfer from ACC/Texas State. I’m planning to attend their Computer Science program to pursue a bachelors in CS as well as a BS in Applied Mathematics. I have 10 years work experience (working currently), I’m a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and have a 3.85 GPA with 51 credits thus far. I’ve completed Cal 1 (A), Cal 2 (B), and Differential Equations (A). No sciences yet, but I’m taking Physics 1 next month at ACC. What are my chances of getting in? I don’t have any volunteer experience, however I am a math tutor in between my job and school. Thanks guys!
Based on this year’s results, it looks like you are competitive.
As gettingschooled said, with a 3.8+ you’re competitive. It’s worth it to apply, just be sure to have some back ups because it’s not a sure thing.
