Does Carnegie Mellon offer any kind of joint Computer Science and Business Administration program? Can I double major? Is that combination recommended against at CMU?

While I'm here, I'd also like to ask:

What schools offer Computer Science and Business Administration as one program? Or a major in computer science and a minor in business administration?

I'm looking for a good program more than anything. Big pluses for a D1 school or a school located within/near a big city.

My top choice meets all three requirements, and I assume it will be noted quickly. I want to see if there's anything I've missed worth applying to.

CMU has strong programs in both, but I'm not aware of a joint program. You could major in one and minor in the other, though. Another school to consider is Rice. At Rice you can major in CS and minor in business. It also meets your other criteria -- D1 and within/near a big city. Rice has a distinct campus but is within a few miles of downtown Houston and near museums, med center, zoo, shops and restaurants.

USC: Top 10 business undergrad, top 25 or engineering, and in LA.
They have a joint program (second from bottom) Department Of Computer Science - USC

Yes its possible to double at both at CMU and they are both Top Tier (Top 5) programs. You are required as a CS major to take a minor and many minor in business but quite a few take the next step and double in it. The only other school that has both programs in such high regard would be MIT and its Bschool of Sloan.

USC is my top choice with the joint program, I hope that works out. Reading SAT may bring me down, but I have tons of stuff to bring me back up. As long as they don't toss my app after seeing the SAT score, I think I have a decent chance.

MIT I've already applied to, though I heard their program tends to push towards economics (Wall Street) which isn't the direction I'm aiming for.

Thanks for the information regarding CMU. I'll look into Lehigh and Rice to see where they stand with the rest of my schools.
