Hello,

I'm attending USC this fall for Business Administration, but I believe that a double major would be useful in the future when looking for jobs, and for the knowledge that comes with a double major. My question is, what should I double major (or maybe minor) in?

I think computer science is a great field, but it seems very difficult, and i'm not sure that I would be able to do well in that field. I also think international relations is interesting. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You’ll find there are a lot of business/accounting double majors. If you are considering going into financial engineering or quant trading then you should consider double majoring in CS like you’ve considered or possibly math.

If you are considering starting up a new business(tech?) then definitely consider a double major in CS as you’ll understand the engineering and business side of things.

Thank you, anyone else?

BS in Computer Science and Business Administration (CSBA)

The combined Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science/ Business Administration offers qualified students the opportunity to gain an educational foundation in both areas. Students must meet the admission requirements for both, the Computer Science department and the Marshall School of Business. The degree is administered by the Computer Science department.

Do it

Well I am also attending Marshall this fall and I’ll take Economics as a minor.

Can someone tell me about the Computer Science Program at USC? How hard is it, is it worth getting a double major in, etc.

IR would be really hard to do, because Marshall and Dornsdief have different cores. Basically, if you want a major from Marshall and any humanity you’re not really going for a double major; its a “dual degree”. If you come into USC with AP credits and language, its possible, just not very easy. It’s best to stick to majors that Marshall sponsors, like Business/Cinematic Arts, etc.
