Greetings.
I am a future international student and considering the opportunity to study at USF. I am currently thinking about degree in computer science or engineering. In my opinion, both studies are interesting, however, I would prefer the one which have the highest quality in the university. The question is: Could you tell me what is the best major to study at college of engineering? Could you also give me some information about computer science, because I think that it would be an interesting field for me (if the quality is good).
Thank you in advance.
Here’s the requirements for Computer Science majors:

Hi there, I’m a computer science major, and I asked your question to myself a few semesters ago. From what I gleamed, the difference between the two programs is their restriction. Both CS and CE require certain courses pertaining to CS/E, so you won’t be able to tell a difference for the first few years. However, once you’ve completed the first five or six semesters of CS/E classes, you’ll notice that the CS major becomes more open, while the CE major remains restricted to certain courses. You can pretty much take the same courses a computer engineering major would take as a computer science major, and meet the graduation requirements. But, the computer engineering major is less flexible, so you need to be prepared to take certain classes related to hardware and electrical systems. If you’re not interested in those topics, go for computer science. There are many more available classes to fill the graduation requirement for CS, so you can study whatever you’d like. Here’s the CE flowchart so you can compare it with the CS flowchart above: http://www.usf.edu/engineering/student-services/documents/flowchart-bscp.pdf
