I was wondering what a major in CS at Stevens Tech is like, and how well do graduates do when it comes to grad school and employment

Thanks

Stevens has a career survey:

Hi - I am an alum of Stevens, not CS though. Many of my friends from CS went on to work across different industries - financial services, technology, etc. Some at Citigroup, J.P. Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg, Google. The proximity to NYC really helps with jobs in Manhattan too. Also, noticed that the valedictorian this year was a CS major: [Quantitative Finance Whiz Brad Warren Named 2013 Stevens Institute of Technology Valedictorian | Stevens News](http://www.stevens.edu/news/content/quantitative-finance-whiz-brad-warren-named-2013-stevens-institute-technology-valedictorian).

Visit Stevens and make an appointment with the career development office. Speak frankly with them.

I’ve found the career surveys from colleges are just about meaningless. They are surveys… and suffer from all the issues surveys suffer from. The career development office will be able to give you actual stats… across the entire student population, not just the ones happy enough to return a survey. ;-)

Do not make the mistake of comparing the real data you get with other college’s survey data. Only compare survey data to survey data and real data to real data.

When you get to a short list of schools, you need real data to make your final decision.
