Computer Science Chances :)

Hi everyone! This is my first 'college' thread! I hope I got the chance formatting right.
I want to do computer science in the engineering department but their stats are ridiculously high, so I'm vary of my chances. :(
I'm considering applying for LAS and transferring like "IndianMan" on this forum.
Please chance me for LAS and ENG! Thanks for your help.

GPA (weighted): 4.1 (I don't know how to calculate unweighted)
Percentile: 93% (Top 7%)
ACT: 28 (will retake in September)
AP's: AP Stats, AP World Hist, APUSH, AP Language and Composition, AP Calc AB, AP Trig
I will be taking all my AP's next spring and computer science

Senior schedule:
1. AP Calc BC (Highest math class offered)
2. AP Physics C (1.5 periods)
3. AP Civics
4. AP Econ
5. Honors German 5-5
6. Computer Programming 3-4 (C++)
7. Honors Industrial Technology/PLTW class

I have taken Engineering Design & Development, a PLTW class which offers college credit that is accepted at UIUC.

Extra Curricular:
- BEST Robotics
- Mathletes
- South Asian Student Association
- Astronomy Club
- Scholastic Bowl
- Model UN (Joining)
- NHS (Will apply)

I know my EC's are blah!

Volunteer:
Have about 50 hours. :/

Con: I got a C in Precalc last year due to a bad final exam grade and my teacher didn't round up.. I know I messed up horribly. I know the college admission people are going to look at this mark this is a weakness.

Thanks for reading!

AP trig doesn’t exist

Oh, oops! The math class that I took was a combined class. We did 2 different math “categories” and it counted as AP. Sorry about that!

You will need to improve your ACT. CS department’s ACT average is 32 (for engineering). Not sure about LAS.

i can tell ur in for las for sure but engineering maybe in RD probably deferred then accepted its ur choice again its not hard to transfer since ull have calc done alrdy and maybe even physics?

here were the requirements to transfer not sure if i told u
3.2gpa
calc 1-3
chem 102 and 103
physics 211 and eventually the other but u can do it later
and the general CS courses

so i mean u can worry about college alot if this is ur number 1 choice or just go safe and relax senior year… either way good luck man

Thanks everyone for replying! I hope I get a higher ACT next time so I won’t have to transfer!
Thanks Indianman for the transfer requirements! :D

They will probably look at your ACT math & science subscores more than at English or the total score.
