I'm planning to apply to Cornell for CS and was really confused about which College i should be applying to.
I checked Cornell's website and they say CS is offered as a major in both colleges.
So which college should I be applying to ? (Is getting into any one college simpler than the other or something ? )
Thanks ! :)

Computer science is offered at both colleges, yes. The main difference you will find are the distribution requirements of both colleges. Engineering is focused more towards science and math, so you will have requirements of various levels of calculus, physics, and computing, among other things (including some credits in liberal arts). Arts and sciences has requirements in a wide range of topics, from math to science to humanities and various specific categories within them.

Arts and Sciences graduation requirements can be found here:

@Ranza123 so the only difference is in requirements then ? the course material is the same ?
i have physics chemistry math and CS in high school, so does that mean i should be applying for engineering ?

bump

You graduate with a computer science degree from either college. You take the same classes to get the degree no matter which college you’re in; the only difference I can find is the difference in classes you’ll be taking outside your major. If you are really science and math oriented, then engineering is probably best for you. If you are science and math oriented but also have interests in the humanities or a more liberal take on courses, then arts and sciences is probably best.
