<p>What I heard from the CS department advisors is, take the exam if you are really confident.
The downside is, if you perform horribly on the exam, you will be forced to take CMSC131 even if you scored a 5 on A, or a 4/5 on AB.</p>
<p>In other words, your Computer Science AP scores may be revoked by the college.</p>
<p>So think really carefully before taking the exam.</p>
