Sorry in advance that this is so long, but if you guys could give me some advice, I'd appreciate it.

So i'm currently majoring in Economics, but my GPA isn't great (3.5 ish) so far without many classes in my major either. I definitely want to go into (like everyone else)... i-banking or consulting after undergrad.... and I know that GPA is definitely what they look at, so I know I need to keep it up. but if that doesn't work out, then something finance, or even business related in the hi-tech/corporate world.

That being said, I have recently discovered that I really enjoy computer science, BUT I am not a computer whiz like many, and it would take a lot of work out of me, just to minor in it. Also, my GPA will probably not die, but it will probably lower my GPA quite a bit, compared to if I didn't take CS classes.

The plus is that I could also increase my chances of being hired by a high tech company. (example: google, yahoo... jobs that dont' require me to program 24/7, but require programming knowledge. (If I don't minor in CS, I would minor in Music, or Drama, which are other loves of mine).

Ultimately, my goal is to get an MBA after a few years of work experience, but I know that a good GPA is the road to that work experience, and I'm looking for valuable work experience, not just any job I can find. (I definitely do not want to sound like a grade/GPA obsessed person, but I'm being realistic. like... I could definitely live without minoring in CS, but I think it would be worthwhile to me, just.. not to my GPA. (And I know that optimistic thing to say is, just try to do well in CS classes, but that's pretty unpredictable at this point, and I want to decide whether or not I want to do this minor, now).

So do you guys think I would be better off keeping my GPA as high as I can, or minor in computer science for the addition of other job opportunities?
