Computer science on the east coast

I am basically looking for a private school on the east coast with a medium sized student body, location in terms of urban/rural etc doesnt matter as long as its on the east coast, a school that is especially strong in computer science.
I don't need FA, but merit would be nice. I am looking for a match/reach for me.

My stats:
90/100 UW

SAT: 660 M/640 CR/590 Wr

28 ACT

Bump it up

For you, I’d say look at:
CMU
UVA
Virginia Tech
William and Mary

If you had higher scores, I would also say MIT, Harvard, Princeton, and possibly Cornell or UPenn.

Those schools all have well known computer science programs.

The best resource for schools by far is Rugg’s List, which lists the best colleges in every major you could think of. I think they might have a website, but I bought the book.

Another list of good computer science schools is here:
[GRE Guide - Computer Science Rankings](University Rankings - Computer Science)

I was looking at CMU, but i think its too high of a reach, just like UVA, W&M and VT is a match, but its too big for me, i think CMU would be great but it would be way top hard.

What about Maryland/college park or Penn State?

Theyre way too big for me, im looking for a mid size private u

MPD14, you are right. CMU School of Computer Science is probable is high reach for you. For medium sized school in the east coast, may I suggest
Reach:
Brandeis, Rochester, SUNY Binghamton, and Rensselaer
Match:
Vermont, Union, Steven Institute of technology, American, Clark, Fordham, temple and Syracuse.

Hope this will help. :)
