Computer Science or Engineering?

I want to major in a computer related field but I'm undecided bet. CS or CE/CEN? What are some of the advantages/disadvantages of both? And Why did you pick whichever one you picked?

Would you rather build a computer out of spare parts or would you rather write software?

i picked computer science over the engineerings because i thought it was gonna be easier just because it didnt have engineering in the title. and since the salaries/job prospects are the same as engineering i figured it was the path with the less troubles but similar salary.

turns out it not easier than the engineerings at all.

hey Cronus88,

What do you for a living? Are you a software engineer? Please elaborate because I am very interested in software engineering and I am currently a CS major.

I was an EE major and now writing softwares at my work place. I think engineering would prepare u for more or broader ranges of jobs. For Computer Science ur pretty much stuck with computer after you graduate. For computer engineering / electrical engineering, you can always do other stuff non related to computer in engineering. You can always be a software guy doing computer engineering / a hardware guy too

lol. no. im a freshman in college. ur probably farther ahead than i am. sorry i should have said so. when i say its not easier than engineering i was talking about the work load and content.
