Computer Science: Threads (& Computer Engineering)

I'm currently undecided on my major: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.

I have been leaning more towards Computer Science as the threads at GA Tech sound intriguing but also kind of overwhelming... I'm indecisive as it is and to have to choose a thread, I'd rather just do something else as I'd like to do all the threads, lol.

So I'm wondering if the threads are a gimmick or of significance. I'm looking at the threads chart and seeing there are a difference in classes but if combining two threads is it possible to cover all the different classes? And do you choose two threads or one? One of the pages made it sound as though you pick one thread while another states two threads.

Secondly, in comparison to Computer Engineering, how different are the two majors? Some schools offer just Computer Science and Engineering, so GA Tech offering each individually what will be the difference overall? Additionally, which area of focus will offer the most opportunity to do undergrad research?

Also, there is a Computer Science minor. I forget which school forbids it, but majoring in Computer Engineering and minoring in Computer Science... Doable? Or double majoring in both? Or ChemE and one of these...? Any thoughts.

I'm just needing something to decide as even looking at job postings the two degrees seem interchangeable with the occasional one being preferred over the other.

Thanks.
