Computer Science UC's and CSU's

Hey there,
i am a senior in high school, currently applying to college.. and i sorta have a teeny problem.
The past three years of high school, i have been really into the sciences.. i thought i wanted to eventually go into dentistry or nursing.. however, only recently [very recently like in august] did i discover that i truly see my future in CS. its what i'm into and i strongly believe it will give me a happy life. The problem is that i've been focusing all my classes and extracurriculars on biology and the sciences in general. but i do have general work experience, and tons of community service (i also created my own non-profit)

stats:
cumulative GPA: 3.94 UW, 4.06 W
UC/CSU A-G GPA: 4.09W
SAT: 2060 (math: 740, writing: 720, cr: 600) im retaking it october 11 and my cr is very much expected to go up
SAT II: Math 2: 730 (gonna try to raise it in nov), Biology E/M: taking in Nov
AP's/Honors: i've taken AP bio and AP psych, Honors Anatomy & Physiology, Honors Chem (got A's in them all except 2nd semester B in chem)

i'm very good at math in general; i'm currently in calculus. i'm also currently taking physics.

i guess my struggle is that i'm worried if the schools will look at me and be like "did she accindently check the wrong major?" ahhhhhh......should i still apply to UCs as a biolgy major and take the risk to switch to CS bc my EC's and classes support that? or should i just straight up try and see if i'll get into UC/CSU for comp.sci. based of these scores..? pls help (i am a norcal resident. these would all be in-state schools)

Pls chance me on the following schools if i was to apply as a computer science major? (also would it be easier to get in on other majors like software engineering or computer engineering?)

UC's:
UCI
UCSB
UCD
UCSC
UCSD
UCM
UCR

CSU's:
CPSLO
SDSU
SFSU
SJSU

pls reccomend any other public/private schools? thanks so much!

UCSD: High Match
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Match
UCSC: Low Match
UCR/UCM: Safety

SLO: High Match
SDSU/SJSU: Match
SFSU: Safety

Software Engineering at SJSU is an easier admit than CS and Computer Engineering and supposedly it is also easier (if there is such a thing) at SLO. At UCI, I do not think there is much difference between the 3 majors in regards to admissions. You have competitive Stats and they will take you far.

Good Luck.

@Gumbymom‌ thank you so much.

At Ucsd you are not admit by major, if ucsd does not admit you to computer science you will be admitted to a different major or undeclared.

@DrGoogle‌ is this because computer science is impacted at ucsd? so you’re saying that if they admit me, it will then be as undeclared and i would have to complete requirements once i get there to officially get into the computer science major? is there a possibility for some people to be admitted to computer science upon applying as freshman? or do they give everyone a second choice major/undeclared?

Yes, it’s an impacted major. So you shouldn’t worry that you select Computer Science you won’t get admitted to UCSD because it will admit you to some major, may not be what you want. Unlike other school like UCB for example.

@DrGoogle‌ oh ok. Thank you.
