<p>Thanks, Guys for your valuable inputs. We visited both places. Ann Arbor is definitely better place. Cost wise, it seems UofM-AA is costlier than UofI-UC. Still under decision making process… (definitely he will have to do before National Decision Day - May 1:)</p>
<p>Yeah, Champaign, IL is not the most lively town I have ever lived in, but it is definitely not even close to the worst.</p>
<p>Now, there is one more twist to the decision making process. As mentioned in the original post, the student got into the honors program at Univ of Maryland, College Park. Few days back, he received the President Scholarship ($12K per year for four years). </p>
<p>Yearly cost wise, UofM-AA is $51K, UofI-UC is $46K and UMD-CP is $40K (before scholarship).</p>
<p>Now looking at CS ranking, UMD-CP is ranked as 13th (same as Univ of Michigan).</p>
<p>What you guys think? What is your recommendation?</p>
<p>I suppose I would probably choose Maryland if I were him then, though I can’t stand the Terps, haha.</p>
