<p>UCI has a computer engineering major offered by the school of engineering. Computer science and engineering is offered jointly by the school of engineering and school of computer science. Having graduated in CSE, I believe computer engineering is related to mostly hardware and low level software. CSE tries to cram in both hardware and software (low level all the way up to application layer).</p>
