If it was the computer's problem, why did they direct me to microsoft to get it fixed?

And I just think if you're a casual computer user, Vista is no improvement on XP...it's just a huge step backwards which is confirmed by the fact that people are turning back to XP after using Vista and computer companies are trying to manufacture and sell computers with XP as opposed to Vista.

If you have the cash, get a Mac, but seriously for a college student, a PC with Vista is more than enough, and you'd save a thousand bucks. It's really annoying to hear how Mac is worth paying so much for when all we do is use facebook, word, and excel.

that's a very good pt. And I wish it applied to me - be a whole lot easier to stick w/ the PC. But I'm just hearing how Mac has better graphic/digital editing stuff and that's important to my major. The problem is I could end up switching majors too.

Once you go mac... you never go back!

hah. I got my whole family to switch to mac's after they saw how bada$$ mine is!

A mac isn't just a computer, it's a way of life.

You mean the guy that starred in such blockbuster hits as Herbie Fully Loaded, and The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang? His work is about as good as Dick Cheney's approval rating.

yes, I realize that, but he's a really nice guy...and I liked dodgeball and accepted

ok so the problem with getting a mac is not the computer itself but the kind of person you become once you get one like you become this flaming mac whore that no one wants to listen to all day whoring their macs and how much they want to have sexual relations with their computers like do you really want to become one of "them"

hey, i'm a computer! stop all the downloadin'!!!!

I have 2 laptops and one desktop.(desktop is for programming, one of the laptops is for taking notes in class and the other one is for playing games) sure when you first move into the dorm you will be afraid that your stuff will be stolen. I used to lock my laptops all the time until the 4th week of school I stopped. It never get stolen. Sometimes I even leave my laptop in the common room (bad idea). You will need to set a password though. My suite mates do prank on each other all the time. :-D so if you don't want your facebook status or your desktop background to change then you better set a good password.

People who bring laptop to class always get distracted by their laptop so you shouldn't.
