I notice there is a thread flooding around about computers but mine is kinda different... so here it is: is it abnormal if a student brings a desktop to the dorms and have a laptop for classes? because laptops are easy to carry and all but the speed and screen size just can't compare with my desktops... what should I do?

Nah, nobody cares. I had a big desktop and a 20" screen for my dorm, and carried around a 14.1" notebook for classes. I got the desktop for some intense gaming, and for the bigger screen for movie watching. It's all up to your preferences.

Bring both. I brought both. I love my desktop and I cant go without it so I still have both. It's also better if you want to download a lot of stuff overnight. You never have to stop downloading! If you only have a laptop, you would have to if you goto class.

Unless you're a North Campus student, I don't recommend bringing laptops to class.

A desktop, ironically, is more space efficient if you work on your desk a lot.

However, bringing both will mean you will have to lock up more objects.

well I been to the campus tour last week and ironically the tour guide was someone I knew and we used to play soccer together so he showed me his dorm room at dystic or w.e. it is called... the room seemed really small and I just never knew if bringing both is a good idea, well thx for clearing that up for me I mainly wanted to know because i have pc desktop and mac notebook and mac isn't gaming friendly lol
PS. Boelterhall: what does north campus student mean? is it different from the other students?

I think North Campus is the humanities ... not 100% sure tho

^ Yup. North Campus = humanities, South Campus = math/science

B.Hall - How is it more efficient? o_O
