ComputerScience/ComputerEngineering...big difference?

I was reading up about purdue and learned that their computer science department was low grade while their computer engineering department was like 10th in the nation - is this the case at Maryland?

Are you going for Computer Science at UMD? Because I am :D

Oh and yeah... In Computer Engineering, they take you more towards the hardware side. In Computer Science, you do theoretical stuff like programming, system analysis/design, understanding networks, bits and bytes, system infrastructure and working, etc.

yeah i am gibbu :D

Haha great! Finally I found someone going for CS!

So tell me about you man.... Your stats?
They do not consider the SAT for the CS major, and thats the best part ;)

My S is also in the CS dept. Double major CS and Math. Who knows whether that's the final direction.

@Maximus: Double major hmmm. How many total credits is he supposed to complete by the end of four years? Is it 150?
