concentration

what is your guy's strategy for concentrating?

is there like a time limit you have where you devote 100% of your attention to the hw in front of you... say like after 10 minutes you will allow your mind to wander off...

or maybe your reading a book do you go by pages... like after reading half a page you let your mind wander...

i ask this cause i notice how my mind wanders a lot when im studying

Coffee usually helps me concentrate.

Cafeeine is known to kill brain cells, which you can't afford. as you can see, caffeine has taken it's affects on me since i can't spell the word.

Figure out what's a reasonable amount of time for you, and then take a short break. Sometimes it also helps to switch back and forth between subjects if you tend to have more trouble focusing when you're bored.

I really agree with beck86nj. I too have a hard time focussing on projects at times. I often switch tasks to refocus and usually try to find the interesting aspects of the task to keep myself motivated.
