I have yet to hear from anyone about an interview---Is that a bad thing? I live in Selbyville, Delware, which I assume isn't a popular location for alumni. Any thoughts?

I haven't heard about an interview either. I am in the Boston area where there are lots of D alums and also, probably, a lot of applicants.

It's been reported here on CC that an interview isn't required and that not having one will not impact negatively your application.

I have had a fair bit of contact with the Figure Skating coach who is also an alum. Maybe they think I've been covered.

I thought Dartmouth didn't have off-campus interviews. (I could be wrong.)

I'd really love one though. : (

Dartmouth has alumni interviews, they contact the alumni interview leaders for each state and they organize which alums get which applicants based on location. If you havn't been contacted yet there are probably just a lot of applicants in your area and not as many alums.

dont worry about it. i emailed the admissions office and they said that if you haven't been contacted yet (ED) then you won't have an interview since all the alumni were required to send in their reports a week ago. They stressed that they realize that not everyone can get an interview so it counts very little. hope that helps (i live in philly btw)

Uhh, they had to send reports a week ago? I have an interview tonight...

sneamia, how did your interview go?

Nothing extraordinary, pretty professional, but it ended on a good note.
