<p>1700 SAT
3.0 GPA unweighted, 3.5 weighted
got D's both semesters my junior year in my IB2 math class, retaking this year with much better results
200+ hours community service at shriners children's hospital
my brother is currently a freshman there </p>

<p>Is it likely I'll be accepted?</p>

<p>Unless you are Eligible in Local Context, i think it is a 50/50 chance. Be sure to apply to some CSUs, Maybe Sac, Chico and Sonoma.<br>

Average UC GPA last year was 3.61 and your are within range with your SAT. I think you have a decent chance. Good Luck</p>

<p>hey I’m waiting for my SAT score for november to come back but my first SAT got 1900 and my current GPA is 3.6 unweighted, 3.9 weighted. What are the odds of me getting accepted?.. </p>

The UC system sets aside seats for the top 9% of graduates.from each high school. Those candidates are afforded a seat at a UC (now, generally Merced). At some high schools, top 9% might be as low as 3.4GPA, Talk to your school counselor, they can tell you where you stand on that front.

i’m a current freshman attending UCM and my high school stats last year were 3.64 GPA unweighted and 1530 SAT; I’d think you’d have a good chance in getting in! however, I do know that this year they are really cutting down on their admission rates because they are growing faster than they anticipate, and cannot accommodate for all the students they wish to admit.

im concerned about being accepted to UCM as well.
I applied for psychology. I wrote an additional comment on how i took intro to psych at a community college and how it helped me become more interested in the field.
UC GPA: 3.42
SAT:1350
ACT:18
Honors/AP US and world history and stats
JV tennis team 9th-11th grade
50+ hours of volunteer
outstanding GPA awards
Employed
UC merced is my top choice. I also applied to riverside, davis, santa cruz

Interesting, my kid was accepted to UCR
Months ago but is still pending for UCM. I have idea how UC’s are coming to decisions as profiles of the kids are very similar.
