<p>Unless you are Eligible in Local Context, i think it is a 50/50 chance. Be sure to apply to some CSUs, Maybe Sac, Chico and Sonoma.<br>

The UC system sets aside seats for the top 9% of graduates.from each high school. Those candidates are afforded a seat at a UC (now, generally Merced). At some high schools, top 9% might be as low as 3.4GPA, Talk to your school counselor, they can tell you where you stand on that front.

i’m a current freshman attending UCM and my high school stats last year were 3.64 GPA unweighted and 1530 SAT; I’d think you’d have a good chance in getting in! however, I do know that this year they are really cutting down on their admission rates because they are growing faster than they anticipate, and cannot accommodate for all the students they wish to admit.
im concerned about being accepted to UCM as well.
I applied for psychology. I wrote an additional comment on how i took intro to psych at a community college and how it helped me become more interested in the field.

Interesting, my kid was accepted to UCR
Months ago but is still pending for UCM. I have idea how UC’s are coming to decisions as profiles of the kids are very similar.
