Hello,
My college counselor/the ACT board did not correctly interpret documentation for special testing on the ACTs and my ACTs were much lower than they should have been considering my SAT score, except for reading (because that was the only section I finished). This was because they did not give me time 1/2 throughout the test. I believe as the error was someone mismarking the type of testing I should have, I can get the right accomodations next time and achieve a score that is at least comparable to my SAT score the next time I take the test. However, when I send my scores, will colleges I send the scores to see this inaccurate ACT score, or just the score that makes more sense (the one I will send will be either next Sep. or Oct.) I'm positive I will raise my score at least a cumulative 4 points. I discussed this with an ACT rep and they told me if I send next time's scores, colleges won't see these scores. Is that true?

I think you can cancel the scores at the ACT website so they are not sent out to the schools. I know it’s over on the left hand side on your home page. I wouldn’t assume they won’t SEE the poorer scores if they get sent to the schools, it’s just that they may COUNT the higher scores after the better score is achieved.

It depends- some schools want to see all scores, some will take your best, unless the rep was saying that they are doing something special for your circumstances, taking out the last test you took.

I never sent these scores to colleges, I just mean if I choose to send scores when I get the proper testing in September/October, will these scores (which aren’t even accurate- GRR) show?

I hope if a college doesn’t let you just send one set of ACTs that they realize this was an unfair testing situation :(
