Does anybody know exactly when the registration for Housing and CI for freshmen begins? The GW website only shows the housing registration dates for its second, third and fourth year students. It's a bit frustrating to not get any info from GW at all. I even had to learn how to activate my GW email account through this forum, thanks to Grapkoski...

I called on behalf of my son and they said you'd get something in the mail in April or May. All we found on the web were dates for last year! Where did you find this year's dates. Can you link us to them? Thanks.

Nothing substantial will come this month because they still have to accept and enroll the RD students, but have no fear it shall be coming shortly... CI will be mid march though

thanks again, grapkoski!

i do have another question though... doesn't EDI and EDII students have priority housing selection rights?

Yes, EDI and EDII receive priority housing, so your housing, based on your dorm preferences via the online housing registration are assigned first. EDI housing is assigned first, EDII second and then the regular decision acceptees...in the order the deposit checks were received. You will have the chance to list your housing preferences via online housing registration, and at least last year...housing registration was open to the ED students before the RD group. You can change your housing preferences right through the end of the last Colonial Inauguration (without losing your priory selection). So if you go to CI and decide you like a different dorm than the one your originally listed or if you find someone you'd like to room with, you can go back online and make the changes. Housing registration will close after the last CI so the housing department can make the assignments and you will be notified in August of your housing and your roommate information. My daughter was an RD acceptee last year. We sent the deposit in very quickly and she received her first choice of housing. I have read that there are about 900 ED students...so I would think that all those students would safely receive their first choice of housing. Congratulations to all of you Colonials Class of 2010!
