Concord Academy

I'm an incoming 8th grader in a public school. At the end of my 7th grade year i learned of boarding school and Concord Academy, the school interested me and i'm going to apply there, i already scheduled for an interview. If i knew sooner i would of participated in more EC but unfortunately i haven't. From 5th through 7th grade i got straight A's and no B's or C's. I'm sure that my teachers will write good recommendations for me since they're always challenging me and teaching me separately a couple of time cause i finish my work quickly. I don't participate in sports but I run so i might qualify for cross country. Since 5th grade I've been in knowledge bowl at my school and scored a couple of time to help the team get some points. I dont play any instruments but i intend on getting serious with it in high school. Concord academy is known for arts and i like to Photoshop and im moderate at it and they also have a club for it. My highest subjects are in math and i only have the princeton review for a month so i could improve on my SSAT scores.
Verbal:650
Reading:695
Math:795

So if you have any advice or opinion help me out!

@chuppybn,
I’m just going to let you know that I’m a rising eighth grader.You’re SSAT percentile is:
Verbal: 50%
Reading: around 90%
Math: 99%

You need to work on your verbal score. And if you get straight A’s and have a 90% in two sections on the SSAT, you could probably get into many more schools. Concord Academy is a good school, but you seem like you could get into even more selective schools like Phillips Andover, Groton School, Middlesex School, Deerfield Academy, etc. Good luck and it’d be cool to have you as one of my classmates!

Concord is a great school! I have many friends who go/have gone and have really enjoyed it a lot! However, they do have a liberal arts approach so having a good english grade will help (I’d say try to get verbal up to at least 80%). Just so you know the average SSAT score at CA is about 84-85% and with some more practice (try Kaplan test prep, they are REALLY helpful) you would be on your way! Good luck!
