I was invited to this program to transfer on Fall 2012 if I qualify until then.
I just have two questions -

Complete a full year of college coursework that counts towards your colleges General Education Requirements. Conditional admission may be revoked for inappropriate college coursework. If you would like to obtain pre-approval for college coursework (recommended), please complete and submit the Transfer Student Conditional Admission Course Approval Form.

I'm making my schedule for first quarter at orientation, but I won't know which are "inappropriate" until AFTER I pick my classes... So what exactly is "inappropriate college coursework"? And where can you obtain the course approval form? It was not provided to me and I cannot find it on the site for Emory.

Maintain a 3.2 cumulative undergraduate grade point average for the academic year.

Does this mean I have to keep at least a 3.2 each and every quarter? Or just that the cumulative of three quarters have to add up to 3.2 minimum?

Sorry for the load of questions, but thanks in advance to anyone who can help! :)

hey I was in the same boat as you last year. I am actually going to Emory this fall now transferring from UW Madison.

All you really need to do is pick normal courses (i.e. core/grad requirements) and take your best guess. There is an official form (forgot where it is) but I had a counselor that always helped me with questions and you probably have the same person and she can help you do that just send them an email. You DO have to take one science with a lab and a math class. They don’t tell you this till later but this is a requirement to transfer.

3.2 is the average. Although I would try to maintain well above that…just in case. Technically they don’t “have to” accept you.

HeatFanNY - yes I remember you from the other forum! I actually was the one asking you how to get into this program thing. I actually have some questions I’d like to ask you since it seems that not many have gone through this thing yet… (If you don’t mind) Could you check your PM? Thank you so much! :)

Is a science with a lab component required each semester?! Because I just had my orientation last week, and since many of my general education requirements for my school were nulled by AP scores, I signed up for an elective class (neuroscience) instead of a regular science with a lab component.
