Hi, I received a GT for the College of Human Ecology at Cornell, but was wondering what happens if I take all of the required credits except for 2 classes. I still maintained well above the minimal GPA. Considering I did not complete only 2 of the required courses, will my transfer still be "guaranteed"?

I’m not sure if the HE is similar to ILR, but ILR GTs don’t have to complete all the given requirements in order to go through with the transfer, tho its strongly suggested that we complete the core requirements of Econ. and Engl. And as many of the other 6 requirements as possible!!!!! This might also apply to HE but its always safe to consult your transfer counselor! Are you a one year transfer???

How do i know if im a GT?

you'd know with a pretty explicit letter

Hey Acerbic, I am a one-year transfer applicant. How exactly do you find out who your transfer counselor is at Cornell. I talked to a lady in the admissions office, and she told me just to explain in the letter I have to write why it was I did not complete these two classes. The GT letter I received said "to be considered a competitive transfer applicant ... should take these courses", but I do not think HE would reject me because of this.

As that other person said ILR doesn't -require- them all but suggests...I'd say you are pretty safe. I'd look on the Cornell site and c if you can find who the HE transer counseler is because all the ILR people just have one. You could always just ask the other HE GTs who theirs is and it's probably all the same person.
