Confirmation Letter?

Does Pomona send out confirmation letters / emails to applicants?

cuz... I haven't received one :P

Yeah, me neither. (I applied Common App-style.)

I'm getting worried.

me too, me too

well since we're all in the same boat, I'd say it's safe to assume they don't send them.

Pomona does not send out confirmation letters or e-mails to applicants. If you are concerned about whether the College has received all of your materials, you should call the Admissions Office.

Good luck!

I applied ED I this year through the mail. When they recieved part one and my check, I was sent a confirmation letter in the mail and by e-mail. They said they'd send another when my application was complete, but I never recieved that second letter. They sent my decision by mail.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, they're probably just busy. You may just need to give them a little more time. Eventually my mom called the admissions office and they were able to confirm that everythign was in fairly easily.

STILL haven't received any kind of confirmation! (Applied through Common App.) Dammit. Calling the office tomorrow.

I applied by common app too, and i didn't even go to an interview even though i live in CA... And i received no news from pomona. is it affecting my chance??

antigluttony

why did you not interview? From what I've heard, the interview is pretty important to Pomona.

i heard that too. like if you DON'T interview, it might count against you. at least, that's what the impression i got was. i think the website said something like they expected you to interview.

The Office of Admissions said they are way behind with Regular Decision, so don't worrry about no confirmation letter.

hey, from what i understand your supposed to have an on campus interview if you live in socal/greater la area since you're within driving distance of pomona.

From what I've read, Pomona highly values the interview and the applicant needs to make a reasonable effort to do so. My son, however, did not interview with them.

The nearest interviewer lives 200 miles from us, so Pomona gave my son an exception and said it would not reflect negatively on his application.

i have not been contacted for an interview...

should i call and request one?

It's too late to schedule an interview.

Early on, Pomona sent my son a "Request to Interview" postcard that he had to fill in and return by 12/1 (I think that was the date). Once Pomona received the postcard, they searched their database for an interviewer near us....

oh, well i applied for regular decision and i never received such a postcard.

I missed the interview request deadline. I guess that's gonna hurt me. :</p>

i guess pomona doesnt send out confirmation letters/postcards/emails for ppl who applied with commonapp.

sigh.

CHEER UP!

didn't u guys get the letter with the application tracking number in it?
i got it,,,
but the number doesn't work anyways... sighz

i did not get that letter, omgplease
