I actually have 2 questions...

I'm wondering if I majored in adolescent education for english and minored in business administration/management if that would leave my options open if I receive my BA and decide that I'd rather go the business route instead of education. I'm not sure which one I want to do but since you have to get certified by the state for teaching, I don't see the point of switching the two and have education as a minor since that won't get you certified.

Secondly, if I majored in English and minored in business, would that open up my options a bit wider? If I did decide to become a teacher, how exactly would I pursue it if I decided on this combination?

I'm looking to not have to change my major because I am a transfer student from a community college, so I don't have much time to be changing in and out of majors if I want to stay on track to graduate in another 2 years or so.

Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.

A major in English and minor in business would open huge possbilities since you could realistically pursue any grad. program, especially Law School or MBA. Most importantly, knowledge in business would aid in anything you do in life.
