conflicting final exams?

Has anyone ever had experience with asking a professor to allow you an exception to take the final at a different time than scheduled? Like earlier in the week or something?

I've got Music History 12W (need it for Writing II + minor) and Chem 14D with Hardinger both on Friday, March 18th at 8AM. I'm guessing I'd have a better shot with the Music History professor.

Thanks!

As far as I know, Professors generally don’t make an exception, and you shouldn’t expect it. You could try talking with the music history professor (before you sign up), but don’t hope for it.

I’m not even sure URSA would let you enroll with conflicting final schedules…

There was a guy in a philosophy class I took that had a final exam conflict. The professor in my class let him start late (but I think he started before everyone else finished, and it was a computer exam). There’s no harm in asking the professor, as long as you find out at or before the beginning of the quarter.
