<p>Did this ever end up opening / what (physical or non-) presence does it have on campus now? I'm interested in potentially doubling with Asian studies, but I can't find info about the Confucius Institute besides news articles saying it was to open.</p>
<p>I talked to my daughter about this last week. She is an Asian Studies major, with her emphasis being China. Apparently there were some visa issues for the people that were supposed to be involved with the Institute. I guess it is on hold for the time being. I will ask her about it again when I talk to her later this week.</p>
<p>Talked to my D yesterday, and apparently the Institute finally opened last night. I guess they worked out the various issues. Check it out if you get a chance.</p>
