Could someone just give me a rundown about the process or just post a link for all the standard info? I can honestly say I have no idea where to start.
What kind of essays? There’s the main one, and then there are the supplemental ones for each individual school.
The supplement essays are usually around a paragraph long and ask questions like “Why are you interested in College X?” or “What do you think you can add to Campus Y?” When you’re answering these questions, be sure to do research on your school’s website and find something specific that you found on the site and include that in your response.
The main essay is a bit longer; I believe the limit is now 650 words. You’ll be given five or six prompts, of which you have to choose one, but all of them boil down to asking who you are as a person. It can be hard to know where to start, but there are plenty of people in the College Essays forum who would be willing to help (including me)!
