Confused about SUNY Albany

University at Albany just rejected me from their EOP program, and yet, a few days ago I just got a letter from their Financial Aid Office telling me that I still need to send forms in order for them to consider me. I checked their application status site a few minutes ago, and my application is still being checked.

Does that mean I will be considered for regular admission? Here is my criteria as it follows:

GPA: 3.32 (unweighted) | 4.15 (weighted on a 5.0 scale)
SAT: CR: 450 | W: 500 | M: 500
SAT II: Biology (Molecular): 470
Extracurriculars: Volleyball (Varsity): 2 years | Tennis (Varsity): 1 year | Badminton (Club): 1 year | Scrapbook (Club): 2 years | Ping Pong (Club): 1 year | Belly dancing (Club): 1 year
Community Service: New York Cares Park Clean Up: 1 year | New York Cares "Santa Clause": 1 year | New York Cares (sewing for unprivileged children): 1 year
Race: African-American

I recently sent them a better version of my college essay, because I felt the essay I sent before was too stale and standard--I basically talked about my academic/financial faults. Do you think they'll consider it if I'm still considered for regular admissions?

I knew that at Binghamton, if you get rejected from EOP, they move your application to the regular admissions pile. It’s possible that they do the same at UAlbany.

And you might want to call the admissions office and ask about the essay and the EOP.
