Confused about teacher recommendations

Hello everyone, I am planning to apply for Chemical Engineering next year and I'm not sure which two teachers to ask for my Letters of Recommendation
I go to is a pretty small private school, and as a result of its transient nature some of our teachers leave every 3 or 4 years (Same with the students).
Could you please help me decide which teachers to ask?

Teacher 1 (Physics) - Taught me Physics 1 in Grade X and IB Physics 1HL in Grade XI. I've had all A's in the class, but I fear that the teacher isn't the best of writers, however, the teachers knows me well and likes me to an extent.

Teacher 2 (Chemistry and Economics) - Taught me Chemistry 1 in 10th Grade where I had A's, and IB Chemistry 1 HL in Grade XI where I have an A- and a B+. In IB Economics 1SL, I have a B+ and an A. I do really well in Chemistry and finished Economics on a strong note. The teacher's good at writing but he also knows that I'm lazy and a slight slacker.

Teacher 3 (Spanish) - New teacher. But I have had A's in all my previous spanish classes.

Teacher 4 (Maths) - New teacher who is going to teach me IB Maths 2HL from next semester. Throughout high school I have had 3A's, an A- and a B+ (the last two are from junior year)

Teacher 5 (English) - New teacher who will be teaching me IB English 2SL. I'm not very good in English, and so far I have had 2A-'s, 2B+'s and 1B. (He will be my 3rd English teacher in 4 years)

So if I were to chose two from these five teachers, which ones should I chose?

Thank You.

Definitely teacher one.

Skip teacher two.

You didn’t write a lot about teacher 3, so you probably are pretty indifferent towards him/her. Probably not your best bet.

Pretty much a toss-up between 4 and 5. Which one do you like better? Which do you think would be able to write you a stronger rec? Would the English teacher be able to write about how you worked hard in English, even though it’s your toughest subject?

Thanks for the help! The problem with the new teachers is that they join when school starts. So I haven’t met them yet…

Yeah, I’m getting a new guidance counselor this year, so I kinda know what you mean. What’s worse is that a good deal of colleges want a rec from the counselor :/

Agreed, teacher 1 without a doubt. Any teacher you’ve had more than once is generally good for a rec and no need to worry about their writing skills; just because they are a science teacher doesn’t mean they can’t write a stellar rec.

Then ideally teacher 4 so that you can have math + science recs for chem. engineering. So just be sure to get on his/her really good side and make a strong impression.
