Confused as to whether or not I've been admitted...?

I applied a couple of weeks ago to the Univeristy of Mississippi (Ole Miss), which has rolling admissions. I sent in my transcript and SAT scores, which were received by them. I checked my application status online, and it said that information regarding my admissions would be mailed to me shortly. Yesterday in the mail, I received a post card from Ole Miss which said that they needed a 7 semester transcript (I'm assuming this means a transcript with the first semester of senior year on it) and a senior year class schedule in order to process my application. I plan on sending this in as soon as our semester grades will go on my transcript. Why do you think they're doing this?

Even more puzzling is that when I checked my admissions status online today, it said "Congratulations! You have been admitted into the following program: B.A. in Biology", but nothing about my admissions into Ole Miss its self. Do you think that this means I've gotten in?

Yep, I think you are in! The postcard was probably sent a week or so earlier, so they still want your 7th semester transcript to complete your file. But they obviously accepted you based on your six semesters.

P.S. Did you request a Biology major? If not, then there might, indeed, be a mix-up. You can always call in the morning to double-check.

Awesome! I did request a biology major. So this makes me really happy  Do you think Ill get a formal admissions letter from them?
