Confused what my scores can get me!

So I got 1890 on my SAT
Math- 800
Reading - 530
Writing - 560

If we do it from 1600, I get 1330. I am not sure if the score is good or not. Is it acceptable range for NYU or Columbia? I also took SAT II, Japanese language and US history. Got 640 on Japanese and 630 on US history. Any chances?

I also got 26 on my ACT. Will that help in any way? I can apply for HEOP as well. What should I be doing? What colleges should I aim for? I want to be an engineer or a doctor!

I have an GPA of 92% . Hopefully it would go to 95% this year. I need your help! Thanks!

That’s below average for both schools, really below average for Columbia. I would aim realistically.

Thanks! I guess I would apply through HEOP for Columbia and NYU!
What scores would I need for NYU and Columbia, THANKS!!!

study smart not hard

Your scores indicate you might be better suited for school like RPI, not because of their overall level, but because of their distribution.

I’m sorry, NYU and Columbia seem way out of your reach. I don’t think an LAC-style education is really a good fit, and I’d try looking at schools with less of a core curriculum like RPI.

With the threads I’ve read on the internet, considering your applying through HEOP it seems like you have a chance with an 1860. I knew someone who got in from my school with a 17XX SAT score through the HEOP program at NYU so it’s possible.
