Confused?!?!

Hi, i am trying to figure out which subject tests to take in the spring. I have to take 3 of them:

I already know i'll be taking Chemistry...

and i want to take either math1 or math2, but i dont know the differences between them, help??

a third could possibly be US history, but even though im good at it, i hate all history, so should i take a subject test in something i'm more interested in (math/science) since it may "look better" to colleges? (even if i've only taken the regents/honors level for them?)

thanks :)

You should take a math, science, and humanities SAT II just to be prepared for any college requirements. If you're good at US History, why not take it? Just get it out of the way, and you'll probably get a good score on it without much effort.

As for math, Math 1 is algebra and geometry and basic trigonometry. Math 2 has some Pre-Calc topics (functions, sequences, logarithms, matrices, etc). If you're taking Pre-Calc, you should consider taking Math 2. It is easier to get an 800 on it than on the Math 1 b/c Math 2 has a generous curve (get 4-5 wrong, and you can still get an 800).

thanks for the advice!

and i know this may sound stupid...but do you think it would be a good idea to replace one of the three with the Spanish test instead? - i just remembered that i could take that too, a little lapse of thinking on my part...

Language SAT is hard to get over 700 on because native speakers offset the curve.
